The Playhouse contains a complete wood working shop. It is equipped with a full range of power tools. There is an area for lighting instrument storage and repair. A full palette of dry scenic pigments, brushes, accessories and a paint frame are in the scene painting area. Storage for lumber, plywood and other raw materials is provided.
The scene shop is adjacent to the stage and accessible via full height double doors.
All of the scenery for the Playhouse productions is constructed, painted and installed by students. Supervision of construction and painting is done by paid shop assistants.
