One of the items sent me when I made my late 1960's request to Mr. Robins for an autographed picture was an advertising brochure/folder for The Banana Man's act. It is 8 1/2 x 11 and printed on white stock. The front cover is pictured above. All of the printing is in black & white.
The double spread of the inside of the brochure has information and more pictures on facing pages. On the left is a description of The Act. The text to the right of the train photo suggests that the act is "Ideal for every phase of show business - THEATRES, HOTELS, NIGHT CLUBS, ARENAS, TELEVISION, OUTDOOR FAIRS and CLUB DATES.
The right page has a series of
reviews
and a listing of some of A. Robins' recent engagements:
TELEVISION: Perry Como, Milton Berle, Garry Moore, NBC Spectacular of
"Babes in Toyland, Captain Kangaroo, Mickey Mouse, and
others
HOTELS-NIGHT CLUBS: Bellevue Casino, Casa Loma Montreal, Chase St.Louis, Shoreham Washington, etc etc
FAIRS: GAC-Hamid, Barnes & Carruthers, Al Martin, etc.
FOREIGN ENGAGEMENTS: England (pantomime and revue), Tivoli Circuit Australia, Dominican Republic
OPERETTAS: "Wizard of OZ" in Kansas City and Pittsburgh, Babes in Toyland" at St`Louis Municipal Opera (1959).
NOW PLAYING&emdash;Theatres, hotels, night clubs, TV, individual club dates.
His "Exclusive Management" is listed as Bernard Burke and Max Roth of New York City.
The back page of the brochure is left blank, presumably so that mailing labels might be afifixed for sending to potential clients.
